Hi! I'm Kristi! MaggieMoo Designs was started in
November 2007, just a few months after my second baby
was born. I was using these amazingly convenient
products, but was spending way too much for them! I
realized these were things I could make myself. My deep
desire to stay at home with my two children helped fuel
my motivation to create quality yet affordable luxuries for
mom and baby.
I am a Christian mother of 2 children. My daughter was
born January 2005, and son was born September 2007. I
have been married to my husband and high school
sweetheart for 6 years now. Wow does time fly! I consider
myself a 'semi-crunchy' mom as I am a proud
breastfeeding but supplementing, baby-wearing but
stroller using, co-sleeping but crib using, cloth diapering
but disposable using, organic baby food with a side of Oreo
crumbs kind of mom. No, I'm not confused! LOL.... I just
enjoy the best of convenience AND variety! I have worked
full time from the time I was 15, and have only taken time
off to deliver my babies. I was lucky enough to be able to
take my oldest to work with me until she was 1 year old,
but am not so lucky this second time around. It is my
deepest desire to be able to stay home with my children. I
feel no matter how much you love your child's caregiver,
no one can care for them as well as their own mother!
Hopefully, with a combination of opportunities, including
MaggieMoo Designs, I will achieve my goal and stay home
with my children in their young years! So I would say I
am a WOaAHM (work out of and at home mom).
All of my items are inspired by things I have either used
myself, or seen. I have been involved in online mothering
communities since June 2004, and with those groups have
learned SO much about things I would have never known
existed. I feel inspired by my fellow mommy-friends, and
take their criticisms to heart. I will provide the same to my
customers, by taking any tips or recommendations
seriously. I feel a successful business is customer-led.
